Seconds Malayalam Movie Review

Seconds is a thriller directed by Aneesh Upaasana. Script of the movie is by Shani Khader and Anoop Shivasenan. Ajay Jose is the producer Seconds.

Seconds starts with a high octane opening sequence. Then go back to regular pace to the life of four people from different walks of life, who met accidentally on a lift. And the movie take you to a different world than portrayed by promos.

Swami ( Jayasurya) is an LIC agent, never achieved his targets. But Swami is ambitious about climbing the ladder to success. Feroz ( Vinay Fort) is a still photographer aspiring to move to a bigger level. Thampi (Vinayakan) is a local roudy under drugs messing with people. Teena (Aparna Nair) is a young sales girl in a jewellery shop, who have to settle some huge debt.

All these four enter the same lift of a flat in the city. The lift reach top floor with three men bleeding and Teena screaming out of fear.

Then movie goes back to the life of the four. But those scenes are rather lagging. After the interval movie gather some momentum.

Even though you cant call it a real thriller some twists and background score by Gopisunder give some smell of it.

Even though you the real predator is kept under cover the real prey is revealed easily.

This movie may be of interest to if you don’t bother much about the loop holes and avoid guessing the killer.

Dialogues are well crafted even though the story could have been improved. Salim Kumar and Indrans put up a good show in guest roles.

Camerawork by Suresh Rajan is excellent as well as editing by John Kutty. Mashar Hamsa’s costume selection are really impressive.

This will be definitely of interest to you if you are a Jayasurya fan.
